Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Falsehoods Revealed

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

There are many falsehoods we believe to be truth. In this study I will try to reveal a few and show the truth about them.

Three Wise Men?

Matthew 2

2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem

Notice it states "there came wise men" not 3 wise men, just "there came wise men".

Literal Version says

Matthew 2

1.

|3588| -

|1161| And

|2424| Jesus,

|1080| after he had been born

|1722| in

|0965| Bethlehem

|3588| -

|2449| of Judea

|1722| during

|9999| {the}

|2250| days

|2264| of Herod {the Great},

|3588| the

|0935| King,

|2400| look,

|3087| Magi

|0575| from

|9999| {the}

|0395| east

|3854| arrived

|1519| in

|2414| Jerusalem,

We have thought it was 3 wise men, but it was 3 gifts. This means it was 2 or more wise men bearing the 3 different items for gifts.

Also remember that Joseph, Mary, and Jesus went to Egypt for some time and after returning to Israel Joseph set up his business as a carpenter. All of this took money, and guess where it came from.

Matthew 2

  1. When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:
  2. And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt have I called my son."

Since we have learned it was not necissarily 3 wise men, but 3 gifts and all valuable enough to get them to Egypt and live until it was safe to return. Also remember people from Israel could not find good paying work very easily in Egypt.

Did Jesus have a house?

John 1

  1. Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?
  1. He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.

Did Jesus have nice clothes?

Matthew 27

  1. And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

Apparently His clothes were too nice for them to just cut up the robe and share the pieces, so they cast lots for it so it would remain intact and one person would benefit form its value.

Did Jesus have money, or contributors to His ministry?

Luke 8

  1. And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,
  2. And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
  3. And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

John 12

  1. Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

These people supported Jesus and His ministry with their wealth.

What is Rapture?

Rapture is the taking away of God's chosen, whether alive or physically dead.

Has there ever been a rapture?

Matthew 27

  1. And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
  2. And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Genesis 5

  1. And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

"Blessed are the poor" is this a true statement?

We have all heard it before, but that is not what the Bible says.

Matthew 5

  1. Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

In other words, "Blessed are the humble".

Does God Cause Bad Things to Test us or for any reason?

I John 4

  1. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
  2. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
  3. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

II Timothy 1

  1. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Above are just a few verses to show that God is a God of love and not fear and if He is love He will not pass bad things onto us.

Matthew 7

  1. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
  2. Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
  3. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Fear, in regards to God means to be on the alert that we do not fall away or back slide. It is also reverence of God.

Does asking for patience mean we will be tested?

James 1

  1. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
  2. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Patience is what makes faith grow and out of faith comes great rewards, healing, finances, salvation.

Hebrews 11

  1. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

I hope that you got something from this study, if nothing else but to question and seek the truth when things are told in a negative or less than loving way about God.

1 John 4

  1. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
  2. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
  3. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

There is so much more I could write, but this should get you going and hopefully get you to look hard and deep into the word of God for the truth.

God Bless You as you hear His words and follow His leading.
