Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.
Many are called but few are chosen because many are misled by false teachers Matthew 7:13-15 so we help all who wants to know the truth how to find and know the truth of and by God and not of and by man.

Does God Cause Bad
Things to Happen? Part II

Pastor J. R. Wilhite, author   Close Window

This is a fast description of my last Bible study "Does God Cause Bad Things?" It is to help those who have trouble with studies heavy in scripture.

In Genesis 3 Adam feared after eating the fruit. Fear is twisted faith, also known as wicked, meaning twisted.

Why, because Adam only knew good before and then, after eating of the Fruit of the Knowledge of Good and Evil he knew evil and was cut off from God in the spirit due to his disobedience.

If we tell a child to not play with matches and try to keep the matches out of their reach, who is at fault if they get burned? They got to the matches; they went against our warnings and still they got burned as many children have been injured. Well, the concept is the same here. There had to be trust between God and Adam, but Adam blew it and lost his connection to God.

It was not long before envy came into the world and Cain slew Abel. Within a few hundred years (Genesis 6) God repented of even having created mankind. He was ready to destroy everything, but He found Noah and Noah was worthy.

As you read the Old Testament it is all about a man here or a woman there who God could find out of all the people on the earth to use to get mankind back in connection with Him.

Abraham came hundreds of years after Noah and then Joseph came a good 100+ years after Abraham. Are you starting to see the point.

We are quick to question God and why He allows things to happen, but God was doing all He could in the Old Testament to get things right for us today.

If God went against His word He would not be honorable and His word would not be honorable.

So, after 4,000 years, He finally got enough of His word into the earth to get one person to agree with Him in order to bring Jesus into the earth, and that person was Mary.

Even after 3 years of miracles, healing, feeding, calming storms, even His own Apostles denied Him. Peter did not just deny he knew Jesus; he cursed His Name.

The crowds who yelled "Crucify Him!" were the same ones who saw Him do these miracles, and some were the ones who were healed and fed by Him.

But God stayed honorable to us, even when we were not honorable to Him. He had every right to get rid of mankind, but He did not. He strove with man and helped man.

Now 2,000 years after He did it all (including dying on a cross) for us, we question why bad things happen. When He is watching and wondering why we are not using the tools He gave us, like: Faith, the Word, our spiritual connection.

Yes, a lot of people do not know the Bible and that is why something bad that comes can devastate them. But it is not God's fault, He tries His best to get people into our lives to help us and then we reject THEM!

Yes, I know a few of you have not, but most have. It started with our youth when we learned how to read. We could have started reading His word then, but didn't.

Somewhere in your past someone told you, or you heard in on the radio, television or even at school that the Bible was the Word of God and the oldest and best selling book ever.

We can complain and complain about how we did not know, and how awful our past was. Some really had it bad, losing children, being sick and so forth, but the past is the past. You can change your future now, by getting into the Word of God and staying there until you know it and Him very, very well.

That TV program will not add one day to your life or make you well or even pay a bill. But spending that same time with God can help you pay bills, get healed, and much, much more.

What if you have lost an arm or a leg? Well, you can be healed by faith, and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).

I Corinthians 1:24

  1. But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Christ is a Greek word for anointing.

Isaiah 10:27

  1. And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

I John 2:27

  1. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

If you can spend an hour or two a night in His word, He can grow in you and you can overcome all.
