Patience is the most important fruit of the Spirit, because it girds all the others.
James 1
2. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
5.If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Patience is needed to grow, to have faith, to prosper, to be healed, to be saved.
To have Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self control you must have patience girding them all. What this means is each and every area of the Spirit comes by patience, no one gains them all over night, it takes time. And when anything takes time you need patience to wait for it.
Ephesians 6
What do you stand therefore? Of course what ever it is you need, you stand therefore, what you are standing THERE FORE. To stand and wait you need patience to stand as long as it might take.
Patience in the Greek actually is endurance.
