The Light Part V

The light reveals areas that are hidden even to us that keep us in bondage and keep the blood from being 100% effective in our lives. When the light shines in the darkest parts of our souls and shows us areas we never realized we had a problem in, this is when we can finally get it out, deal with it and allow the blood to remove it. You may be asking what is there in me that I do not realize? Well, you may realize but have trouble dealing with it; it may be prejudice, strife, hate, anger, unforgiveness, offense, jealousy, envy, addiction or some area that you need to just get rid of. I have had trouble in the past forgiving people for cutting me off on the road, but over time I dealt with it, and with the help of the blood and the word I got it out. When the light shined in the deepest areas of my soul I saw just how many areas that I had which needed removing from me. Areas that I never even knew where there; it was like rooms closed off and filled with problems and forgotten about in my conscious mind but not my subconscious mind. As I have dealt with them I have realized why I have gotten angry over certain things or even offended. It was in there hiding talking to my sub conscience mind and getting me irritated.

My father died in 1968. He loved movies and he thought Frankenstein and Dracula were scary. Image if he came back today and saw what is showing now. He could not deal with it; it would upset him. WHY? Because he has not been here for the past 30 years being programed for the garbage available today. Our movies, TV, music, and games have all gotten darker, more visually violent and graphic. Think of how dark of a society we have become in the past 30 years, kids killing kids, homosexuality running rampant (don't get me wrong, I love everyone, I just do not like what some are doing), our children are losing their innocence at earlier ages than ever before. We not only accept a politician having sex while married, we condemn those who are trying to prevent its happening again. I myself have come to the conclusion that the following have done more to drain us, re-program us, and get us even further into the dark than any other things over the past 7,000 years.

If you want to be in the light, turn the TV off and read the Bible. Sit out on your porch and talk to your family and neighbors. Pray and listen to God.

Have you ever had a time that seemed overwhelming and dark? It may have been due to bills, taxes, house note, or a doctors appointment that made it seem as it got closer and closer, inside it seemed like all life would end. Then, when the day finally comes, it is not so bad after all. That was Satan filling your soul with the darkness of his evil to deceive you as he did Adam. He hopes you will kill your self or get sick and die, or at the very least keep you in check so he does not have to worry about you. The more light that comes in, the less of this type of darkness will be there to bring you down. No, it may not remove the problems at first, but in time it will and in the mean time it helps you see the truth and make it through those dark times and makes them more light.

John 1

1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2. The same was in the beginning with God.

3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Genesis 1

1. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

God first determined that man needed light to guide him, and anointed Jesus as the light of this world.

The light in Genesis 1:1-5 is that of Jesus, because we know the light of the sun, moon and stars was created in day 4 vs14, and God has always been light. This light is a special light for us.

A revelation is revealed knowledge. The light shines in areas of darkness to reveal the truth.

Matthew 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Matthew 16:17

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed [it] unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Jesus told Peter here that he did not understand or come to know the Christ (The Anointed One) by mental knowledge, or being there with Jesus. It was revealed (a revelation) to him by God; so Peter had a revelation in his spirit.

Matthew 16:18

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Here is where Jesus named Simon as Peter. In Greek the word is Petros:

Pronounced: pet'-ros

a primary word; a (piece of) rock (larger than

3037 GSN); as a name, Petrus, an apostle:

KJV--Peter, rock. Compare 2786 GSN.

Notice that it is a piece of the rock, not THE rock. Jesus is the cornerstone, but the rock is revelation knowledge from God via the spirit of who Jesus is as the Christ and Son of God.

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Now the Greek word for rock here is petra;

Strong's Number: 4073-GSN

Transliterated: petra

Pronounced: pet'-ra

feminine of the same as 4074 GSN; a (mass of)

rock (literally or figuratively): KJV--rock.

Which, as you can see, is the rock.

So what is the rock (petra) Jesus is referring to? It is not Peter, because Peter is a piece of the rock. Jesus said, "upon this rock". Well, He was just talking about the revelation Peter had. So the church is built upon the revealed (revelation) knowledge from God of Jesus as the Christ and true Son of God. "Jesus" translates as "salvation". So, if you are of Jesus, you have salvation, and when you are of Christ you are of the Spirit of God, in, on and through you. The Son of God refers to our inheritance in God's kingdom.

So we are the church as far as the revealed knowledge goes, but we are not the church. The church is made up of those who are connected to God through he spirit, and operating in the revealed knowledge of Christ.

So if we are the church based on the revealed knowledge or revelation of who Jesus is as the Christ and the Son of God, then how much more can we grow by the light shining in the dark places of our souls to help us find what needs to go and replace it with things we need to have.

Light reveals; we deal with it; the blood cleanses.

1 Thessalonians 5

1. But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

4. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

5. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

6. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

7. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

8. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

9. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

The sleep referred to here is the darkness of the age, a spiritual sleep.

Isaiah 30

Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.

2 Corinthians 7

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

What promises? Promise of the light, the blood, and the power in the word and name of Jesus unto life and life more abundant and everlasting.

Jesus is coming for a glorious church. As Adam had the glory of God and was clothed in it, so shall we be as we allow the light to encompass us.

Revelation 3

5. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

We shall be clothed in the light.

There is so much more, but with these 4 studies and the time you put into them, you should be well on your way to new levels in the light.

Search for yourself about overcoming, and the light in the word. In the book of Revelation the 7 letters to the 7 churches all refer to overcoming.

Light overcomes darkness.
