Before you read this study understand that we do not teach, we share and then ask all who read the following take it to God and verify it with Him. We believe a lot of the world is misled by the church of the world and religion vs the one true church. And to know the truth can only come from knowing, not just knowing of God, John 14:26, I John 2:27, Rev 3:19-22.

Evil III

The first thing we need to do is get evil out of our lives.

Matthew 6:22-23

6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

6:23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Psalms 101:3

101:3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

We should only allow those items in our lives that are of God, no movies, TV, radio, Internet, etc., that would pervert or slow our growth.

I John 2:16

2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

We must be disciplined against such things.

Isaiah 33:15

33:15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;

Just stop allowing the evil in.

I Thessalonians 5:22

5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Do not allow any appearance of evil in or on you.

Romans 1:32

1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which comit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

If you don't comit the sin, but enjoy watching others then you are just as guilty (pornogrphy, violence, sex)

Matthew 15:19-20

15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

15:20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

If you allow the word, things of God, into your soul more than the things of the world, in time, things of the world will not be as important. I stopped watching a lot of movies and TV (years ago we would see every new movie) now I watch old western TV shows that have moral points, are low on violence, no sex or foul language, and most of the time refer to the Bible. Shows like the Rifleman, Gunsmoke, Rawhide and now when I watch even a minute of some of the otherTV it bothers me in my spirit. It is all based on what we let in.

Ephesians 5:16

5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

One of the worst sins is wasting time in things of the world which can not do anything to extend your life or redeem you while the redeemer is waiting. I am not saying to spend every minute, but for each hour you spend watching TV or movies give the Lord 10 minutes at the very least.

Colossians 4:5

4:5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

Avoid evil - wickedness and you will avoid sin much easier.

Proverbs 29:25

29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

Psalms 40:4

40:4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
