Fear

Fear is something misunderstood, and a lot of Christians allow in their lives.

Fear should only be in a life when someone does not know God.

Then that fear should be of God, the fear of God keeps those who are not of God but know of Him to stay in check to certain point.

The demons, devils, and people operating in these areas know of God, and fear Him to a point of avoiding Him.

Then there is the fear that makes a person realize that without God is stupid and that is the only good fear, because it helps people to make the right choice.

I have had a lot of Christians email me about how they are in fear, or fear controls them. They do not even realize fear is controlling them.

Fear separates us from God, it is a way of Satan to divide and conquer.

When fear enters, it starts consuming, it is worse than any fire. A fire that starts can be controlled by fire breaks, water, and other resources. But fear when it starts consuming a person it leaves no where to break the fear, or dowse it with water. It starts in a small area with a small thing. Say someone is in debt and they worry, well worry is a sin to, because it shows a lack of faith in your life. Worry starts about the debt, and after a while the worry turns to fear of loosing the house, car or what ever due to the lack in finances to pay the debt. Then when fear enters, it starts by telling you that you are going to loose your house, and where will you and your family live then. It keeps growing and growing until the person can not sleep, eat or work. Now due to the fear and lack of sleep you loose your job, and then you loose the house. All due to fear taking over and controlling. Job had this problem, he feared his children were not following God and sinning. The fear then allowed a door to be opened for Satan to enter. Most people misunderstand in Job 2 where God asks Satan "Have you considered my servant Job" as being God pointing out Job to Satan. But the verse if it had been translated today would be "What do you have in your heart against my servant Job?". Not pointing out Job but questioning what Satan was up to, and no, the Bible is not wrong and the translators were not wrong. But in 1612 AD when the KJV was translated the verses meant the same as a question, it is just read wrong today. But the point is Job had fear, the fear left an opening for Satan to enter. And at the end how Job got out of his mess was praying for others.

Here are a few verses on fear from the Bible:

2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

Gen 9:2 (KJV)

Animals did not fear us, not until sin entered.

1 After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

Gen 15:1 (KJV)

God had to tell Abram not to fear.

17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is

Gen 21:17 (KJV)

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

1 John 4:18 (KJV)

We know God is love, and the first fruit of the Spirit is Love, so with love comes a casting out of fear.

7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

2 Tim 1:7 (KJV)

Not a spirit of fear, but of love and power.

15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Romans 8:15-16 (KJV)

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1 Cor 1:24 (KJV)

The point is when fear enters you have already sinned by worrying. Worry does not change things, or add a day to your life, actually it takes days away.

So when you start to worry, cast it out, and if fear enters cast it out, start praising God.

Find those you can fellowship with and do so, also pray, pray for those who have needs other than your own.

Prayer is one of the greatest and most powerful tools we have.

But no tool, no matter how powerful is worth anything unless it is used.

To many allow worry and fear to enter instead of prayer and praise.

Fear and worry are tools of Satan, prayer and praise are our tools.

Think about how in a movie or reading a book your mind is removed from your problems and for a short time your problems do not exist. Well if they can be temporarily put away, then why not altogether, they can. When you pray and praise the problems are no longer the center of your attention. Not they are not gone, they are still there, but at least they are not tearing you down.

And once you learn how to pray for others, and praise God so your worries and fears are removed, you will notice the problem that caused the worry and fear is either gone or a lot smaller and controllable.

You can be concerned about a problem, but do not allow it to grow into worry and fear.

When you worry you are showing doubt in your belief in God and that He can do what He says He can do.

So replace doubt with belief, and belief comes by spending time with Him and that is done by reading His word, listening to Him, praying and listening and praise.

You have all you need to prosper, Armor of God, the Blood, repentance, healing, forgiveness, prayer, praise and so much more.

The more time you spend in these areas the less worry or fear can enter.
